Smile When You Say That

To the editor: I was very upset at “Queer Eye for the Country Guy” (Aug. 18, 2004). It was sick to make the remark about the Texas Music (Bowel) Movement. That was rude and pathetic for a Texas paper to write about its musicians! Evidently, the writer must be some idiot from up north who doesn’t appreciate good music. Nashville is all glitz and show biz. Texas/Red Dirt music is about loves, lives, and feelings, and the musicians care about their fans. They take the time to visit with them instead of hiding in their dressing rooms after their gigs. Some of the best musicians in the nation hail from Texas. Back off and leave Texas/Oklahoma musicians alone.
