The Arlington Museum of Art manages to keep on pushing those boundaries, as effectively if not more so than a lot of supposedly “edgy” downtown Cowtown galleries. In the museum’s Allan Saxe Mezzanine Galleries is Layered, Stacked, Assembled, a group show by seven Texas-based artists whose work betrays hints of OCD — much of the material on view has been crafted meticulously, even painstakingly. The exhibit has been guest-curated by independent curator Nicholas Wood.

Thru Dec. 3 at the Arlington Museum of Art, 201 W Main St, Arlington. 817-275-4600.
