Bring Back the Big Fries

To the editor: Dan McGraw’s review of Tommy’s Hamburger Grill on West 7th Street (“Strike Three?” Nov. 23, 2005) was not only unfair but downright rude and uncalled-for. Apparently in response to McGraw’s doggerel, Tommy’s has changed its fries from the delicious, thick, hand-cut variety that most patrons cherish to a thinner, shorter version. I would suggest if McGraw is interested in a thinner, over-cooked, pre-packaged potato, he should take his superior cuisine intellect to the likes of McDonald’s. I hope that Ms. Smith will ignore the unfortunate preferences of McGraw and bring back the Tommy’s fries we love.

And if McGraw does not like the fries, perhaps he should order the onion rings. They are also delicious.
