Support Apartment Dwellers
To the editor: In reference to the Woodhaven redevelopment plans, I think that the best evidence of the motivations of the leaders is shown by Becky Haskin’s past interest in all the residents of Woodhaven.
Some years ago, I asked about a sidewalk on Boca Raton that would support foot traffic going to and from the shopping center on Loop 820. I was told there were plans in the bond package for this sidewalk. It is a heavily traveled path, but used mostly by — you guessed it — apartment dwellers.
Today the sidewalk still is not built, but Ms. Haskin has time to visit a sister city in Africa and, upon return, cruise the neighborhood looking for her competitors’ yard signs and complaining. I think Fort Worth and Woodhaven need a council member to represent all the residents, not just a few. If you care about all the people in Woodhaven, vote for Louis McBee in District 4. It’s a must.
