To the editor: I have been an avid reader of your newspaper, and I always held it to the best regards and standards. But then I read “Tex-sex Star” in the Jan. 19, 2005 issue. In the second paragraph, word for word, is the statement, “I really like to fuck.”
I am by no means an angel. But I felt that a public newspaper would have some sense of decency about what was printed. Even if it was about a porn star, that doesn’t concern me, and other than the second paragraph, the article was very well written. I just feel for the youths who may be toying with saying those things in public, because they hear and read it from the trashy media that they find everywhere. Such as your newspaper. I’ll think twice now before reading it or paying any attention to your advertisers listed.
