No Room at the Clinic
To the editor: I appreciated reading your article about Maria Rodriguez (“Falling Through the Cracks,” Nov. 30, 2005). I’m a nurse and do volunteer work at the Mission Fort Worth Medical Clinic. We see many undocumented patients. However, if they need additional care that we cannot provide, there is no other place to refer them to. We also have more patients than we can possibly see, as our group is completely volunteer. If we do not have enough doctors or nurses, we cannot see all the patients needing care.
I hope that your article will help bring more public awareness of some of these difficulties.
