Jailhouse Bravos
To the editor: “Jailhouse Blues” by Dan McGraw depicts a blueprint for disaster with the county’s pre-trial release program. It illustrates a profound need for an investigation, in view of the fact that Commissioner J. D. Johnson won’t allow signs in the Fort Worth booking facility about the pre-trial program. Such signs aren’t prohibited by the city, but Mr. Johnson, with his personal latitude of power, can restrict their display. That smells of a Rolodex of political and financial favors being exercised.
