PVK w/Larger than Life, Curbside Service, The Adderallics, and Days Like These

Mainstays in the Fort Worth punk scene, PVK has been regularly playing shows in and around the city for the past few years, going through countless line-up changes before finally settling on the current five-piece arrangement this year. Their more popular numbers, such as “Unhappily Ever After” and “Watching the Cars,” even got the band added to the line-up of this summer’s Vans Warped Tour in Dallas. They’ll be playing at the Drive-Thru Record stage. The band will record for Drive-Thru later this summer and will embark on an extensive nationwide tour in summer 2003. As a revitalized quintet, the band sounds edgier than it ever has — and edgier than a lot of pop-punk out there. PVK covers its bases well. Influences from The Minutemen to Yellowcard are evident in the mix. The band members work their asses off, basically, and look at helping other less-established punk outfits get some recognition as part of the job.
