The Heat Goes On
To the editor: Kristian Lin just doesn’t get it. In his review of Fahrenheit 9/11 (“Weapons of Mass Delusion,” June 23, 2004), he calls Michael Moore “cold and mean-spirited,” “exploiting,” compassionless, and “self-aggrandizing.” He finds the film “sadly inadequate.” It may not meet his criteria for fine art, but Fahrenheit 9/11 is a moving tribute to the people who suffered from the attack on the World Trade Center and the soldiers and others who have been killed or injured as a result of policies put in place by the White House. I’ve got news for Mr. Lin: For exploitation and self-aggrandizing behavior, Michael Moore does not hold a candle to George W. Bush and company.
