Despoblado, the Uninhabited Land:
Images Inspired by the Big Bend
The formidable expanses of nature in the Big Bend region of Texas have been left relatively untouched by human development, and they have inspired the artists at Four Walls. Dennis Blagg’s and James Woodson’s paintings, James Malone’s mixed-media sculptures, and Joan Zalenski’s photographs all take in this desolate landscape.
