Re-educating the Kids
To the editor: You recently ran an article about some black activists wishing to start a “private academy or charter school” in Mansfield (“Child Left Behind,” July 12, 2006). Their reasoning is very interesting. They, along with many other people, are finally admitting that the 50-plus-year experiment of forced integration of the public schools has benefited no one — except, of course, the bus manufacturers and gasoline distributors.
