With red-light cameras a possibility for Fort Worth drivers in the future, some may get the feeling that Big Brother is not only watching, but kicking back in his Barcalounger, sipping on driver-funded Dom Perignon (or at least, imported beer), and lighting cigars with $75 checks from fine-payers. Well, those unhappy about Big Brother’s snooping can now, er, snoop back by visiting www.photoenforced.com. The web site started by Jeff Cohn, a Los Angeles resident fed up with his camera-infested burg, contains a database of cameras all over the U.S. and Canada that visitors can check and add to. Useful for drivers planning to run a few lights on vacation in, say, Hawaii. Or they could use it to drive more safely around their own towns. “I think the red-light cameras change normal driving behavior and cause people to either speed up or slow down erratically and often result in more fender-benders,” Cohn said.
